The Management Innovation eXchange (MIX) is, in their words, "an open innovation project aimed at reinventing management for the 21st century." Polly LaBarre, the MIX's Content and Contribution Architect, recently posted, "When nobody (and everybody) is the boss," pointing to Morning Star, W.L. Gore, and Whole Foods as examples of organizations that "have exploded the traditional hierarchy--and learned to rule without bosses and manage without managers."
