Paul Green, Jr. originally joined The Morning Star Company as a seasonal colleague in 1998.  His experience building an early career within a self-managed company permanently shaped his view on building organizations designed to bring out the best in people, and when he left in 2002 to build his own business, he planted many of the ideas in his new venture.

Karrie Rufer began working for The Morning Star Company, and specifically the Self-Management Institute, in 2010.  Having grown up around Morning Star colleagues, she is committed to advancing the principles and practice of Self-Management.  She received her B.A. in Economics from Saint Mary's College and her M.A. in Economics from San Jose State University.
