Paul Green, Jr. originally joined The Morning Star Company as a seasonal colleague in 1998. His experience building an early career within a self-managed company permanently shaped his view on building organizations designed to bring out the best in people, and when he left in 2002 to build his own business, he planted many of the ideas in his new venture.

Doug Kirkpatrick delivers coaching, training, and business consulting services. He lives in Northern California with his family, where he also educates, writes, interviews, speaks and blogs with the Morning Star Self-Management Institute. Karrie Rufer began working for The Morning Star Company, and specifically the Self-Management Institute, in 2010. Having grown up around Morning Star colleagues, she is committed to advancing the principles and practice of Self-Management. She received her B.A. in Economics from Saint Mary's College and her M.A. in Economics from San Jose State University.

Amy Wardell has worked for The Morning Star Company since 2009, and began working with The Self-Management Institute soon after. She edits most of the Institute publications, and spends much of her time researching and writing material to support the Institute’s mission of advancing the human organization.
Michael joined the Self-Management Institute in 2012.
