Breakfast will be served at The Citizen Hotel on the Metropolitan Terrace, leading into presentations from practitioner organizations and context experts, each followed by discussion. 

The program will proceed throughout the day, with a break for a catered lunch.

At the end of the day, we will break for half an hour before embarking on a two-hour private cruise along the Sacramento River.  We will then be dropped off at the same dock, and will return to the hotel for the evening.

Tuesday, June 4

8:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Tuesday will begin with a light breakfast, followed by a half-day Open Space Meeting, during which attendees will collaboratively create action plans for their respective organizations.  Lunch will be available in the afternoon.  We will then close the conference with a short debrief of the Open Space Meeting at 1:30 PM.

What You Should Expect of the Symposium

Speakers will be entrepreneurs and researchers sharing their ideas, insights, experiences and challenges related to creating more efficient and effective organizations.  Each presentation will be followed by a half-hour discussion section.  Most of Tuesday will be an open format, during which attendees can .

The Symposium is intended to be interactive.  The goal is not merely to hear presenters discuss topics that are of shared interest, but to use this event as a springboard for change within our respective organizations, and without.  The Mission of the Symposium is to make real and practical advances in building the most efficient and effective organizations.  If you are new to the Self-Management concept and are primarily looking for information on the systems and tools developed by The Morning Star Company to support Self-Management, please consider attending our Applied Self-Management seminar.  Visit the Eventbrite page for Applied Self-Management to learn more and register.

What the Symposium Expects of You

We ask that anyone who applies to present at the Symposium commmits to attend all sessions so that we can make the most of the discussion times in our schedule.
